Herb Marinara Sauce
Ingredients
- 26oz chopped tomatoes 
- 3 garlic cloves 
- 1 rosemary sprig 
- 2 thyme sprigs 
- 1 tbsp fresh oregano 
- 4 large basil leaves 
- 1 bay leave 
- 1 spanish onion, diced 
- 1 1/2 cup fresh spinach 
- 2 tbsp kosher salt 
- 3/4 tsp black pepper 
- 1 tbsp olive oil 
Method
- Dice the onion and herbs, then place them in a hot pan with oil, salt, pepper, and garlic. Sauté for about 10 minutes on medium-low heat until the onions are translucent and fragrant. 
- Once the onions are fragrant, add the chopped tomatoes and spinach. Cover the pan and reduce the heat to low. Let everything simmer for about 10 minutes. 
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to combine. 
- Serve and enjoy! 
Notes- This recipe is super easy and packed with flavor. The key is to let all the ingredients simmer so the flavors can meld together. 
- When adding any type of sauce to pasta, it's a great idea to save a bit of pasta water before draining. Adding this water to the sauce before mixing it with the pasta helps the sauce adhere better, enhancing the flavor!
